Senator Mike Gravel is a former Senator from the great state of Alaska, from 1969 to 1981 and is considered by some to be a darkhorse candidate for the 2008 Democratic nomination. As such, this has freed him up to be able to speak openly about his opinions on the Iraqi Conflict, the American Health care system, Taxation and Gay Civil Rights, just to name a few of the topics to which he has stated his opinions.
